I won!

I was so excited when I clicked over to my friend’s blog Lullaby and Goodnight to see that I won her latest giveaway!  I will soon be the proud owner of this cute bow from Wooden Shoe Designs

I picked this one because I LOVE the purple and green combo.  I will probably not be wearing this, but I am positive Miss G will.  My favorite feature of the bows in this shop?  They are sewn onto the barrettes!  I have had bad experiences with custom bows for Miss G that have only been hot glued onto the barrette.  Hot glue and Arizona heat do not make for a lasting relationship.

Although the matching ones I made Miss G and I for Easter I did only hot glue.  I made them at the last minute on the Saturday night before Easter when I realized our outfits needed a little something extra. This is Ellie’s that I hot glued directly onto a headband she already owned.

Gosh darn OPK’s.  I had such high hopes for you last week when I saw that faint line on Thursday.  I forgot to take a test on Friday at my regular time, so I took one after lunch and it was BLANK!!  What??  I got discouraged, especially since my temps have been really steady.  I didn’t take any OPK’s over the weekend.  I figured, what was the point?

Then Sunday afternoon I had more CM then I had all week, but only a little.  A long with a very slight temp drop.  I still am not convinced it was enough to be ovulation, I just thought ovulation was on the way. I did make sure we BD just in case 😉

Monday AM I took another test and the line was MUCH darker.  See:

I took another this morning thinking the line would be darker, and it isn’t.  I can barely see it again.

URGH!!!!!  Did I miss the surge?  Did I not actually ovulate?  My temp remains only .2 lower than it had been last week. Stupid PCOS, why can’t I just ovulate?? I will test again tomorrow and we will see what happens.

My Best Shot

Yummy Jelly Belly’s in Miss G’s hand!  A shot that I love from Wednesday evening at my mom’s house.  I didn’t even edit this!

It was a rare occasion this Wednesday when all of us “kids” were able to come for dinner.  We all pitched in to help make some great food, the kids played nicely in the sand, then we all sat down to dinner & conversation.  The only thing missing was my brother’s three kids that were not able to come over with him.  I know it warms my mom’s heart to have us all under her roof again. Even if it is only for a night.

Red Rose

This week’s theme for Raw(e) is Red.  I love the red roses in my mom’s backyard.  I tried to get a fantastic photo, but this is the best that I got.

I love this challenge because you can’t edit the photos.  They have to be completely untouched, unedited and uncropped.

Before and After

Before: SOOC.

I had the WB set wrong so it turned out very orange.  It was the only shot of the 3 I took that was in focus so I needed to fix it.

I adjusted the white balance in Lightroom to the florescent and it really helped.  I few minor adjustments to the exposure and the recovery and fill light gave me a photo I really like now.

Thanks to Pixel Perfect for hosting this Before and After challenge:
